Children's Ministry
Our children’s ministry is divided into 2 classes, the first being our créche that is for children from 12 months to 5 years. Our Church is a place for people of all ages, although the main service does not really cater for small children.
Our créche is not only designed as a place for children to come and play together alone, but also a place where they are taught the word of God from now.
We fashion our creche teaching in the form of bible stories, role play, Video presentations and songs.
Our second group is the 6 to 11 year olds our main focus for this group is expanding on the word they learned when they were younger and introducing them to new areas of the word so as they grow they are building on a solid foundation.
Here at Newbirth Ascension Centre we believe that these are crucial stages in a child’s life like the scripture says in Proverbs 22:6 ‘Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.’
To achieve this we have deployed comprehensive teaching packages which show cases all aspect of the bible and its relevance to modern day life in three ways:
- Linking the bible to their environment
- Learning how to apply this in everyday living
- Living what has been learned and taught.
We encourage you to bring your children along to our Sunday school and creche and be assured they will always want to come back. Also we assure you of the safety of your children as our workers are CRB checked and we adopt the foursquare child protection policy.
